The Babe With The Power
Nov. 19th, 2012 12:16 pmThere are interesting things in the universe. For example,
dduane is writing 30 days of fanfic in her own fictional universe, which promises to be interesting, and I have a brand-new copy of what turns out to be the world's most macho cookbook. I don't have a lot of time for these things, because I have a dayjob, and my daughter has decided that the face-to-face aspects of 3 year-old power struggles do not suit her. She prefers simply to take the power while my back is turned.
Since, at any moment, my life can be enlivened by the information that somebody ate something non-organic and ill-advised, or I can be suddenly snowed under by blood-smeared kleenex ("I need more tissues, Mama!"), it is hard to write anything sustained about those other things. I can pretty much only comment that my kitchen layout prevents me from standing at the appropriate range to hose down the contents of my oven with a super soaker so that I get really good bread crust. And that, while I thought Kit's tv would have more to say about Casablanca, that particular series kind of feels like my birthday, without a brand-new cancer diagnosis.
