No one says that you should wait for medical clearance after abdominal surgery before breaking up large quantities of baking chocolate by hand. They should probably say that.

The results were worth it.

OK, so, the next time Dr. Badplan calls you?

Call for backup.

Some of us haven't had recent abdominal (or other) surgery, and may have chef's assistant or even sous-chef sorts of skills. Among other contributions.

Plus, then we'd get to taste the results for real, not just via daydream.

That is exactly what I used. It rocks... but still takes some serious exertion.

*wince* I think I did something similar. (In my case it involved getting leverage to close recalcitrant tupperware. You wouldn't think Tupperware could be dangerous, would you?)

I'll echo [livejournal.com profile] macthud, I'd be happy to help with any other chocolate you need chopped or other not safe while healing from surgery activities.

You don't really realize how many different random activities you use those muscles for until they are healing and sore.

That she was constantly surprised by how many unexpected things she used those muscles for.
