Twist Collective is crazier than me.
Part of me shudders and looks away. Another part is groping for the knitting needles. I *will* be the Queen of Macho Intarsia!
Fortunately for my sanity, my career and the continued existence of Boston's incorporated suburbs, I think my husband can be counted upon to stop me.

Date: 2009-03-08 02:18 am (UTC)On an entirely different but still knitting related note, have you seen the Coraline behind-the-scenes video of the tiny knitting? I can't believe anyone knits on such a tiny scale.

Date: 2009-03-09 03:03 am (UTC)I keep looking at it and thinking *maybe* it's not that crazy... The problem being that, looking at it, I can't figure how to reverse engineer that beastie. It involves steeking, which I've never done, but it (terrifyingly) involves the use of scissors. Knitting the center squares in the round actually seems very sensible, but I can't figure out the borders at *all*.

Date: 2009-03-09 08:48 pm (UTC)I might make one anyway though. Looks like it's knit in the round and steeked and then stitches picked up for the border, first on both sides (the stockinette section) and then joined and garter-stitched on the edges. The steek edges thus get sandwiched in the border sections.
(Also, hi, I started reading your lj regularly...)
