How many times in your life have you seen the ABC Afterschool Special "Please God, I'm Only Seventeen"?

I think I saw it five times. Four in driver's ed, once in Health class.

It's a cautionary tale about a kid who dies in a traffic accident. It's told mostly in this dying kid's flashbacks, cut with bloodless traffic accident footage. The wierd thing is, so far as I can tell, the kid was actually driving reasonably well at the time of the accident, so the moral of the story is pretty much "hey kids, cars can kill you."

Never seen a movie version (for the same reason as herooftheage, pretty much). Sounds like a letter that Dear Abby used to print about once a year.

Never even heard of it. Somehow I managed to miss out on all of the scary driver's ed films, and only saw one scary anti-drugs film while in school.
