I wandered. I hit a couple of LJs that aren't on my friend's list, just people I know peripherally. Some of them are so very writerly and amazing.

And I am so easily distracted, and my spelling sucks.

When I was trying to finish end of year essays in Brighton, a friend of mine came over and made me drink strong sweet tea and rationed me one belgian chocolate per something. I don't remember now what I had to do to get candy, but it was a reasonably productive strategy. I wound up with hysterical giggles in the middle, over the True Leveller's Christmas carol (a semi-rhymed piece about how the people are lied to by the establishment that I find depressingly relevant to the impending election).

[personal profile] danceboy already crashed. There are two cups of aging tea on my desk. The cat refuses to get off my lap. I give up. For tonight, at least. Maybe tomorrow I will take the 'puter someplace with no internet and see if that helps.

No Internet? Is there any such place in the continental USA? ::grin::

There is. I mean, there's large swaths of Ohio, but that's flyover territory.

There is one corner of our living room where, mysteriously, the wireless doesn't reach. [personal profile] danceboy has offered to fix it, but I asked him not to. It's too freakin' useful.

Incidentally, we're going to see Dresden Dolls at Avalon tonight. I'm smug.
