I am in the middle of yet another job hunt process. It's odd. Very odd.
I sent a resume out after a Craig's List posting last week. The opportunity looked interesting. I had a conversation via email with an HR person that eventually washed up on salary. My salary is X. The salary for this position (according to the HR person last week) probably maxes out at X/2. I admit that I am overpaid and will probably have to take some kind of cut to move to a company with more than four people in it. However, I do still like money, and watching half my salary vanish is a bit more than I can take.
Came home this evening to discover email from HR chick - sent on Sunday night. Feh. She wants to know if I can talk. Now, she was hoping to talk today, but, um, I was a good little kitten and didn't slack off at work, hence did not get her email until now. (My inner kitten disagrees about the good little kitten bit. She argues for bored little kitten. Whatever.) So what the fuck? Are they more flexible on salary than supposed? Does it turn out that they're friends of my aunt? What's to talk about here?
Here's hoping that what's to talk about is that they're willing to offer a lot more money for the perfect person, which they think is me.
