More reasons to get out of town

They're asking people not to bring backpacks or briefcases on the T the week of the convention. I'm guessing that my usual (courier bag or gigundo purse) would fit that category. Actually, I'm guessing that every damn person on the T has someplace to go and isn't just riding around town for the hell of it, and a large percentage of them will want to bring stuff, y'know, work, wallets, something to read while they're searching all and sundry...
So as it happens, I'm planning to get out of town. If you were me, and had two weeks of vacation to use more or less alone, but were currently lacking a passport, where would you go?
