People keep asking what they can do, or what I'd like, and this here? It's ridiculous. It's not really helpful at all, but it would be a pleasant distraction, and also might keep me from going completely spare before I even get out of the hospital.

I'm looking for Ysabeau Wilce's short stories. They haven't been conveniently collected or anything. This is what I can find about them.

- "Metal More Attractive” (2004) appeared in the Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, February issue (not available through F&SF's back issues ordering, they sold it out).
- “The Lineaments of Gratified Desire” (2006) appears in the Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction (July issue); The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror, 2006, edited by Ellen Datlow, Kelly Link and Gavin Grant.
- “Quartermaster Returns” (2007) appears in Eclipse, edited by Jonathan Strahan
- “Hand in Glove” (2011) appears in Steampunk!, edited by Kelly Link and Gavin Grant.

(I didn't forget "The Biography of a Bouncing Boy Terror", that's available for download.)

Are any of you in possession of, and willing to lend, any of these publications?

Damn. The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror that I randomly picked up at a used bookstore and have sitting right next to me is 2004, not 2006. I was all hopeful there for a second.

And it turns out that contrary to Wilce's own page, “The Lineaments of Gratified Desire” is in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror 2007: 20th Annual Collection by Kelly Link, Gavin Grant and Ellen Datlow, rather than the 2006 book.

Woot! My penchant for collecting YBF&H's is actually useful for once in my life (as opposed to just making me hump 90 pounds of books up three flights of stairs everydamntime I move)! I have this on my bookcase at home, and I will be more than happy to scan and share.

Er, earlier message about YBF&H is me, and I have 2007 as well. Completionism for the win!

Dang it! In the 4 hours between the library opening and my being able to get there, someone else checked it out. So close.

It looks like Wellesley has it, and it's not far from my office. I can grab it on my way home.

You've been using them for evil all this time?

If so, I want to hear *all* about it.

I work for a corporate recruiter....nuff said.

Although I do like the idea of being an evil librarian. I would charge you overdue fines even if your books were on time! I would misfile things! I would give you badly scanned copies! I would put DVDs in the wrong jackets! I would wear shoes that squeak on linoleum! I would tell Storytime stories about the Wendigo! I would play with my ringtones at the reference desk!

....Really, I can go on.

Were you able to get a hold of all of them, or are you still looking?

Y'all came through for me spectacularly, to the tune of everything here, and bonus unpublished short emailed over by Wilce herself. It was pretty awesome.
