Nov. 3rd, 2004 12:05 amMy first karate class in a very long time went just fine. I'm sore, but not horribly, and I haven't forgotten any of the four moves they asked me to do.
Next time I walk away from martial arts and then come back, however, I should insist on giving the sensei detail about my experience. I copped to having some experience, from several years ago and was told that it might be a good idea for me to take the beginner class. I got actual eyerolls from sensei, and I suspect that the junior instructor wants to kick my ass for making his white belts feel inadequate.
