The recruiter today was pretty useful. I think. They want me to go see one of their clients tomorrow, to do a skills test. On the one hand, this is kind of insulting, on the other, hey, it's more action than I've seen in quite some time. So I will put on my suit, I guess, and go.

In an attempt to impress today's recruiter, I wore a skirt to the interview. Also, I wore heels - maroon Fluevogs (Choice Hi if you care). I love my Vogs, they are great interview shoes, but I don't wear them all that often. Nor, when I wear them, do I commonly walk all that much, but today I got lost in the Financial District.

My left pinky toe has a blister. No, that's wrong. It is a blister. It is possible that the blister is larger than the toe. And the backs of my heels? Rubbed raw. So now I have to do tomorrow's piece of skill test thing in some other pair of shoes. The shoes I can stand to wear (bedroom slippers and sneakers with thick jogging socks) are right out. Or possibly I can just pile on the band-aids, park right outside the dratted place that does skill tests, and continue to wear the maroon shoes.

I just have to make sure to find the bandaids that aren't blue and purple.
