Imaginary New Family

Our family has taken on a bold experiment: we have adopted a baby monster. The idea, I am told, is to see if nurture can overcome the scary nature of monsters, and produce a monster that is our friend. I am all for bold experiments, but I don't hold out very much hope for this one. Baby Monster was orphaned shortly before the adoption, in an incident involving Danger Lad!, a basal body temp thermometer that I have no need for at present, and a lot of blasting and powing noises. Baby Monster played very nicely with Danger Lad! this morning, but I expect Baby Monster to need a lot of therapy to cope with early trauma.
