Parent-Gratifying Behavior
Mar. 7th, 2010 09:39 am- On Friday, I made chicken soup (starting from a chicken - I am so impressed with me). Danger Lad! refused to eat any of the vegetables in it, but asked for seconds on chicken broth.
- DL! has leveled up in verbal skills (again) and is using his new abilities to tell us he loves us, and to inform us that we had a wonderful day at the playground.
- Last night, I put Miss Hotspur Daffodil to bed at eight. At 8:30, she was awake and hungry, but ate and fell back asleep. As usual, I woke up in the middle of the night because I heard her crying on the monitor. As highly unusual, it was 4:30 when that happened. She must have been fiercely hungry, but when I walked into the room, she stopped yelling to give me big smiles. It may be that this doesn't happen again for months, but it happened last night, and it was good.
