I Did This To Myself
Mar. 25th, 2008 01:07 pmDuring this internship thing, I have been largely giving up on the notion of Danger Lad! in his own crib. He goes to sleep there, and when he wakes up squawky, I move him into bed with me, and that way we can all actually sleep, which is important when you're trying to pass yourself off as a competent human being. (Which, incidentally, I didn't so much succeed in.) I have a week off now, between the end of the internship and the start of classes, and I am attempting to convince the kid that no, really, he sleeps in his room, not in mine.
So far, the progress I have made is that I moved him to my bed at 4:30 a.m. instead of a 10:30 p.m. And I spent a lot of time in the nursery rocker. Man, I am so glad we have that thing. If you have small children, may I strongly recommend the reclining nursery glider chair?
I am not rested. I am having a lot of trouble getting through basic tasks. I think I need more tea, and a shower, and possibly a nap.
