I Should Just Buy New Pants

My kid will be just about the right age to figure out, prior to actually applying to colleges, where Gwen Stefani's kid is going, and apply there. Once there, I would like my kid to fall passionately and mutually in love with Gwen Stefani's kid. Then Gwen will be my in-law, and I can fangirl at her up close and personal and it will be hard for her to get rid of me.

There are some flaws in this plan. Like Gwen Stefani has only the one kid, and that one kid is only one sex and will have only one sexual preference, so there's a chance that young Kingston and young Schrodinger will have no interest in each other. That would be sad. I suppose I could set my kid up to chase one of Angelina Jolie's kids instead. Angelina is a much broader target in this respect. She has three kids, and is thinking of adopting more, and I feel like there's a pretty solid chance that my kid will be interested in and interesting to at least one of them.

But really, what I wish is that, since we're future in-laws, either Gwen or Angie would just box up their maternity clothes and send them to me right now.

Good Mall/Bad Mall

I got myself the iPod I've been lusting after, in pink. I thought I'd go for blue, but when I saw them in person, I liked the pink better. I got the new phone I've been thinking about too. I'm trying it out for a few days before I commit to moving my phone number and everything, so if you people get calls from 857 numbers you don't recognize - possibly me. If you call my number, you'll get my old phone, which I'm still carrying around.

However, looking for maternity clothes was an unmitigated disaster. I am too big for the clothes I already own, and too small for anything stocked of Motherhood Maternity. I guess I will be wearing this pair of pants a while longer.
