Impatience

I think I could deal better with the fact that the next Harry Potter book isn't due out until Saturday if I didn't know that there are people in the world who have already read it. Some editors have read it (not enough of them, but they have). The illustrator has read it. Some voice actors have read it. So all those people, and probably the one of JK Rowling's kids who's old enough to read, are wandering around in the world with the entire plot in their heads, probably getting together in tightly sealed rooms tap dancing their victory over the rest of us. Jessica Rowling probably wanders around the halls at school casually dropping misleading hints to her classmates. "Shyeah, I've read it, but I'm like totally sworn to secrecy. I'm not allowed to even hint at you that Ron dies. Did I say that out loud? I meant Hermione."
