Feb. 20th, 2005 12:18 amCame home to discover that a campaign for a local senate race had planted two signs on our lawn, so far as we can tell, without anyone's permission.
I can understand the temptation. Our house is conspicuous as hell, thanks to the paint job, and it's right along a major road.
My comprehension does not make me less annoyed. This is my house! It is not a billboard, unless we decide to make it one. It is certainly not a billboard for people who don't consult us.
I called the campaign office and vented to their answering machine. This was unsatisfying. I wanted someone to answer the phone and promise to hunt down and smack the campaign worker responsible.
I have become the bourgeoisie.
I am part of something I can't even spell.
