I Am Not Coordinated
Nov. 29th, 2004 08:22 pmI told myself today that I would stay off the internet at work, and I sort of mostly managed. It turns out that it's really hard to work for eight hours straight with no breaks. Usually, I would get up at some point and take a break, but today didn't work that way. Not only was I trying to keep my pants from slithering down over my hipbones, I was also wearing new shoes. Standing up was Not Fun.
After work, I arranged to go trade my pants in for the right size. I got to the mall in record time, no wrong turns for once (I don't drive often, so I tend to be smug about it when I do). I called ahead, so when I got there, my pants were waiting for me. They fit perfectly. (Really this time.) They exchanged the too-big ones, and I waltzed on out. I called my baby sister to gloat. You should be able to see the general direction I'm headed in here.
I got to the car, got in, put all my stuff on the passenger's seat, and then reached across my body with my right hand to shut the driver's side door on my left. Hand.
I don't *think* it's broken. I do think I have lost my license to perambulate for the evening.
