I finished chapter two. I don't much like it, but it exists, and it isn't horrible. So those are both good things. Since it turns out that various people in my writing class have improved immeasurably between drafts one and two, catapulting some of them out of "suck" and into "damn good", I would feel better if I didn't feel I'd sunk to near-suck myself, but that's life.

I also finished Laurie King's "A Letter of Mary." Am busily being outraged at insertion of Lord Peter Whimsy into blatant Mary Sue Sherlock Holmes fic.
