Does anyone have any recommendations for where, or from who, I could get a good massage?

Yes. Call me this afternoon and I will give you the dish.

She will tell you the same folks I will, I'm sure, but just in case, [livejournal.com profile] barodar and [livejournal.com profile] ceelove are both excellent.

Yes! I get mine from Christine Kraemer and love them. I have also gotten really good work from Matt Major and from [livejournal.com profile] ceelove (whose email I can send you if you don't have it), although the latter is harder to schedule on short notice.

Pygment has been satisfied with his work. I would add that although I have not gotten a massage from him, he and I have talked about techniques and practices and I find him to be a good listener and very understanding to speak with. He seems like someone you could explain your issue to and he would work with it.

I have used ceelove in the past and found her technique excellent but I prefer deep tissue work to myofascial, which she specializes in. So that's a personal preference really, not a knock on her.

Jumping on the bandwagon for Matt Major. I don't have a whole lot to compare to, but I got a full massage from him some time ago and it was heavenly.

i think [livejournal.com profile] cinnabarine is OMG amazing. but, like others have said, a lot of it is personal style preferences and what you're looking to get out of it.

I can attest to the wonders that are [livejournal.com profile] cinnabarine, [livejournal.com profile] barodar, and [livejournal.com profile] ceelove....

Each has a different style, and all have done magic for me at various points.

http://abiharper.com, http://somervillemassage.com. Both likable people and intelligent problem-solvers.
